Those who were at the inaugural event last March left in no doubt about what had been achieved. The post-event discussion paints a clear picture: the organisation was tight without losing any of the atmosphere, and the consensus was that people were already looking forward to coming back before the weekend was over. The Carnegie proved itself well suited to competitive pinball. The space, the air conditioning, the bar, and the hotels within walking distance all contributed to something that felt properly set up rather than improvised. Thetford sits in the heart of East Anglia and is accessible from most of the UK, with Stansted a short drive away for those coming from further afield. Accommodation will go early.

The tournament formats have been confirmed, and it’s a serious offering across the weekend:

  • Main — five game card tournament (Certified, 250% TGP)
  • Classics — hybrid best game tournament (Certified, 250% TGP)
  • Group Matchplay — group matchplay tournament (116% TGP)
  • Sunday Matchplay — 120% TGP Sunday matchplay tournament

Tickets go on sale Saturday 5 September at 6pm UK time. Accommodation in Thetford will go fast — don’t sleep on it. You can follow the EAPO website and their Facebook group for further updates.

MAYA will of course be at the event, but with more exciting and advanced developments to share with attendees.

If you missed the first one, the EAPO 2026 blog post gives a sense of what the event is about.
