Full description

A 1960-era electro-mechanical playfield seen through a scratched, yellowed plexiglass window, mounted in a wood-grained cabinet with a striped orange-and-brown lower deck. The artwork is a cartoon Arabian-tale scene in cream, scarlet, blue and gold. The whole centre is dominated by one enormous grinning man's face in tan skin: short black hair, huge round spectacles with pink-tinted lenses, a broad toothy smile, and a string of red beads across his chest. Above him arch the words ALL 500,000 HOLES, with five circular hole-lights inside a big cream oval, and SPECIAL WHEN LIT on a blue band across his forehead. Below sit numbered yellow discs 1 2 3 4 5 over BALLS PLAYED. Eight drawn harem dancers and belly dancers in veils and harem pants fan out either side of the face, and two cartoon women flank the top bumpers. Hardware: five pop bumpers, a central spinner ringed by 37 and 7, four round drop targets with lane arrows, blue 2/4/8/6 bumper caps, two white flipper bats, two slingshots, and a cream apron card carrying the instruction panel.

Full description

Vertically oriented backglass art set in a plain light-wood frame. A sandy-yellow ground carries a huge arched title, GOTTLIEB'S in small white slab capitals above ARABIAN KNIGHTS in large curved yellow block letters with heavy black outline. The scene is a harem tableau: a central turbaned man in a white-and-blue striped robe and sash, holding a curved dagger, seated cross-legged, flanked by four scantily clad women - a red-haired woman in a gold lamé outfit at his left, and two dark-haired dancers in red and gold two-piece costumes to his right. At lower left a fifth woman in a gold bikini reclines on red satin cushions, and a sixth woman lies prone across a red-and-yellow chequered floor in a red and gold costume. At lower right a seventh woman with short black hair stands in a dark studded corset and pale blue harem trousers. Scoring panels in red, yellow, green, pink and black rectangles read 900,000, 800,000, 700,000, 600,000 down the top and 500,000 to 100,000 down the right, with overlapping circles 1-6 at upper left above a curved MILLION ribbon, and three circles 1, 2, 3 over the word SELECTION at bottom centre. A small white square marked 8 sits right of centre-bottom.
