Fingerprint: Exhibit's Banjo with enormous magenta letters above a riverfront music scene, line of Black musicians in striped shirts playing banjo and saxophone, woman in wide white hat with orange roses at left, brunette in blue off-shoulder dress at right, paddle steamer on river, yellow clapboard building with PIER 3 sign, hand-painted with teal and rainbow colors

Distinctive

The score values are printed as enormous coloured numerals on the artwork itself rather than shown on reels, with 600,000 in huge magenta letters crowning a black arc at top centre. Dominating the lower half is a crowded painted riverfront music scene - a line of Black banjo, tambourine and saxophone players in bright striped shirts and sun hats - beneath the giant magenta word BANJO. A woman in a wide white hat decorated with orange roses dominates the left foreground, while a brunette in a pale blue off-shoulder ruffled dress is turned away from the viewer on the right. A yellow clapboard building on the right edge carries a white PIER 3 sign and a hand-lettered SHOW Tonite placard.

Full description

Hand-painted backglass with no score reels - the upper half is a printed score chart. Two black swooping arcs across a turquoise-and-yellow sky carry huge outlined numerals: 100,000 red, 200,000 orange, 300,000 yellow, 400,000 green, 500,000 blue, 600,000 magenta. Below, a segmented rainbow ribbon reads 10,000 through 70,000, with 80,000 and 90,000 on a second ribbon, and black-outlined coloured circles hold 1000 to 9000. Teal cursive Exhibit's sits above enormous magenta slab-serif BANJO letters outlined black and white. The lower half is a riverfront scene: a fair-haired woman in a wide white hat trimmed pink with orange roses; a cropped man in a black hat at far left; a green lamp post; Black musicians and dancers in striped shirts, sun hats and headwraps playing banjo, tambourine and saxophone; a seated woman in a green dress and red headwrap; and a brunette in a pale blue off-shoulder ruffled dress from behind. A paddle steamer with two black funnels sits on the river, and a yellow clapboard building at right carries PIER 3 and SHOW Tonite signs. A bottom black band shows numerals 1 to 10.
