Fingerprint: Circus ringmaster or clown face upper center with dark features, spiked crown of radiating white feathers fanning out on hot pink. Symmetrical ladder of cream feather-shaped value banners climbing centerline from 4,000 up to 9,000, larger 300,000/400,000/500,000 above. The single most memorable feature is the enormous painted ringmaster or clown face in the upper centre, with dark heavy-lipped features and a spiked crown of radiating white feathers fanning out behind it, set against hot pink. The whole playfield reads as a circus or carnival bill-board palette of saturated pink, orange and cream rather than a dark or metallic scheme. Two big white circular 100 MORE discs sit side by side in the upper playfield, and a ring of five star-topped posts sits under a 500 POINTS WHEN ADD BONUS banner at the very top.

A circus-carnival themed pinball playfield seen under a glass top, dominated by a hot pink, orange and cream palette. The upper third is a dense cluster of plastics and ramps: a curved arch of small rectangular card-like panels across the very top, a row of five star-topped posts under a pink banner reading 500 POINTS WHEN ADD BONUS, two large white circular discs printed 100 with MORE across the middle of each, and a wheel-and-spinner assembly on the right beside a yellow 500 POINTS flag. The centre of the playfield carries a large painted head of a ringmaster or clown: a pale face with heavy dark brows, a broad nose, dark hair, and a spiked radiating crown or headdress behind the head, flanked by fan-shaped feather motifs. Below the face a symmetrical ladder of feather-shaped value banners runs up the centreline, reading 4,000, 5,000, 6,000, 7,000, 8,000 and 9,000 in black numerals on cream, with larger 300,000, 400,000 and 500,000 banners higher up. Blue rectangular instruction panels on both sides read 100 POINTS AND 500 POINTS AND ADD BONUS. A red maker's plate on the left of centre reads D. Gottlieb & Co in white script. The lower playfield opens into a broad orange and red apron area.

Full description

Illuminated backglass panel with a dark navy-blue sky background and a big rainbow of curved red, yellow and green bands sweeping across the upper left. Four cream/tan mechanical score windows with black digits are set into the panel - two across the top (players 1 and 2, each flagged with a red arrow-shaped number plaque) and two lower down (players 3 and 4, marked the same way). Between the top pair runs the slogan A GAME OF SKILL in white capitals. The title occupies the left-centre: Gottlieb's in flowing script with 4 PLAYER beneath it, and below that the main name in huge block capitals, orange-red with a yellow and cream outline, stacked on two lines and slanted. Filling the right half is a large painted figure of a Native American man in profile facing left, bare-chested with orange-tan skin and a grinning open-mouthed expression, wearing a full feathered war bonnet, beaded ear and nose ornaments, a beaded chest band, a fringed loincloth and arm bands, with a long pipe or staff held across his body. Left of him, lower down, is a smaller mounted warrior figure and a cluster of tepees; on the right edge a tipi and standing figures. BALL IN PLAY appears in orange italics on the right. Along the bottom is PLAYERS 1 2 3 4 / CAN PLAY AT THE SAME TIME! in red block lettering. The painted style is bold airbrushed mid-1970s artwork with heavy black outlines and flat saturated colour; the glass reflects red and blue lamps from the room.
