Black Knight 2000

A tall, portrait-format pinball playfield packed with medieval-castle and jousting imagery, shot with the glass lit so that red, blue and white lamps blaze across the art. At the very top, four large gold-and-red serif numerals reading 2000 arc across a red banner, with a smaller inverted mirror reflection of the numerals painted below them on the glossy upper deck. Just right of centre at the top is a small red instruction placard lettered in white. Below, three red pop-bumper caps sit in a row with a wire ramp snaking over the left side, and a large black looped habit plus an armoured torso dominate the centre-right. The middle of the lower half is taken by a big gold-and-brown compass rose / clock-face disc with radiating points and a shield emblem at its hub. At the bottom centre a green-lit castle gate or portcullis with arrow slit glows above the flippers. The lower apron carries a manufacturer script logo inside a gold oval on both left and right, gold 'MAGNA-SAVE' banners, 'LANE CHANGE / HOLD BUTTON FOR STATUS REPORT' text, and three instruction cards, the centre one headed 'Black Knight 2000' in gold on black. Dominant colours are red, gold, black, blue.

A wide backglass built around a large central circular medallion of a blazing yellow-orange sunburst on black, ringed by jagged yellow lightning bolts. Across the top, huge Gothic blackletter title lettering in red-orange with white and light-blue outline reads 'Black Knight', with '2000' beneath it in blocky white numerals outlined in blue and red. A small red script word with a circled emblem sits above the title. Inside the medallion a black-armoured knight on a rearing white horse charges left-to-right: he wears a closed dark-blue visor helm with a cross-shaped face slit, an orange scarf streaming behind him, and raises a sword whose blade is a solid white-yellow flame. The horse is caparisoned in orange-and-white barding trimmed with blue shield plaques bearing white crosses, with a blue-and-purple scaled caparison and white feathered plume at the shoulder, and a red-and-white fringed skirt of triangular tabs. The background shows a grey stone castle tower on the left and a dark gothic castle with blue-lit windows and a crescent moon on the right. Side panels carry stepped orange-and-yellow chevron patterns and four small square corner ornaments in blue, yellow and red.

Style is bold, flat comic-book airbrush with heavy black outlines.
