Distinctive

The centrepiece is a large oval medallion containing a single white-faced clown in a maroon costume with a white ruff collar and one hand raised beside its head, ringed by a band of small yellow ball and white balloon shapes on deep blue. Wrapping over the top of this medallion is the arched white block-letter title 'CARNIVAL' on a rainbow of radiating colour bands. A descending ring of white numerals 12 down to 1 runs anticlockwise around the left and bottom of the medallion, and a stacked column of coloured score panels with big white numbers runs down the entire right edge. The whole panel is ringed by radiating rainbow wedges rather than a flat background.

The background is a full rainbow of radiating bands - red and orange at the top, then yellow, green, blue and purple down the right side. Across the upper third an arched banner reads 'CARNIVAL' in large white block capitals with red and blue inline shading, with a smaller yellow script word above its left end. Below sits a large oval medallion with a deep blue interior ringed with small yellow ball ornaments and white balloon shapes. Inside is one clown: white face, small red mouth, dark brows, curly yellow hair, white ruffled collar, maroon-red costume, one arm raised with the open hand beside the head. Around the medallion white numerals count down the left side and along the bottom - 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 - each in its own coloured wedge.
