Full description

A 1950s-style cartoon baseball backglass set in a ball park. A huge cream-and-yellow comet tail sweeps diagonally from lower left to upper right across the whole picture, carrying the title in big slanted red block capitals, CRAZY BALL, with the smaller black script Chicago Coin's tucked in on the tail's left arm. The sky is deep blue at the top fading to pale blue, with a grinning yellow sun face and a small white cloud. The top third is packed with angled score panels in red, yellow, green and blue rectangles carrying white and coloured numerals: 60,000, 700,000, 800,000, 900,000 across the top row, then 100,000, 200,000, 300,000, 400,000, 500,000, and a small green flag reading 10,000, red flag 20,000, yellow flag 30,000, red flag 40,000. A long red-and-white striped outfield wall runs across the middle with 50,000, 60,000, 70,000, 80,000 and 90,000 on it, and two small white signs on the right read CRAZY BALL. On the yellow-green field a red-shirted fielder crouches, a batter in white with a red sash and blue cap swings a yellow bat, and a man in yellow kneels behind him; a blue-suited umpire stands in the distance. The bottom third is packed shoulder to shoulder with cartoon spectators in straw hats, a woman in a red top and green skirt with dark blue hair smoking a pipe, a grinning boy in a red cap, and a laughing man in a checkered shirt and blue boater.
