Fingerprint: DALLAS in enormous red block letters containing white stars, giant tan cowboy boot diagonally spanning panel as scoring legend, rope-lasso medallions numbered 1-8 down both edges, dancing young woman in red-and-white striped skirt with red-shirted cowboy partner, six more western figures, black arched banner reading 1-9 Million across top

Distinctive

The single most memorable element is the giant tan cowboy boot that forms the whole scoring legend, its shaft labelled with descending hundreds (900 down to 100) and its toe bearing the script word Thousand. Second, the title DALLAS in enormous red block letters, each letter containing small white stars. Third, a grinning young woman in a red-and-white striped circle skirt and a red-shirted cowboy dancing in the centre. Fourth, rope-lasso medallions numbered 1 to 8 arranged down both side edges, and the black arched banner reading 1 to 9 Million across the top. Condition is worn: paint flaked along the right edge and lower border, with some grime and a chipped area near the spur.

Full description

A painted backglass in a wooden frame, dominated by an enormous tan cowboy boot drawn diagonally across the whole panel, its shaft rising at the left and its toe pointing down-right. The boot surface is printed as a scoring legend: ten horizontal coloured lozenges down the shaft read 900, 800, 700, 600, 500, 400, 300, 200, 100 in white numerals, and a column of smaller circles to their right reads 90, 80, 70, 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10. The word Thousand is written in flowing white script on the boot's foot, above a black spur and heel. Round rope-framed medallions with rope-lasso borders carry player numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 down the left edge and 8, 7, 6, 5 down the right. Across the top a black arcing banner carries the numerals 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 with coloured stars between them and the script word Million in yellow. The title DALLAS appears in huge red slab-serif letters with white stars inside them, angled over the right half. Below it a dancing cowboy couple and four more cowboys in coloured western shirts on blue-green ground with a green tree line and yellow sky.
