The central figure is a green-skinned, silver-helmeted warrior woman in a red beaded costume holding a red-and-gold studded shield and a decorated sword, with a huge blue cape sweeping to the right. Set behind her are white ice spires and a full moon at upper left, plus a purple-and-orange swirling vortex at the right edge. The title Dark Shadow is in heavy red-and-yellow gothic script across the top, split by a gap for a helmeted head that pokes up between the two words. A smaller blonde woman with a spear crouches at the lower left. The whole glass is enclosed in a gold-and-purple art-nouveau border with wing flourishes at the top corners.

A painted pinball backglass dominated by a large two-word title across the top in ornate red-and-yellow gothic script with pale blue and white outlines, reading Dark Shadow. A heroic green-skinned woman warrior stands dead centre, facing the viewer, legs apart, wearing a winged silver helmet, a red-and-gold beaded bikini-style costume with a white feathered apron panel and red gem panels, armlets and anklets, a blue cape sweeping behind her to the right, and a patterned cloth hanging from her left hip. She holds a large red studded shield with gold trim in her right hand and a short sword with a green-and-gold decorated blade in her left. At the lower left a second, smaller blonde woman with a gold circlet and pink-and-white draped garment leans forward holding a spear, her long hair streaming right. The background is an icy blue night scene with a full pale moon at upper left, a deep blue starry sky, jagged white and blue ice spires along the bottom, and a purple-and-orange swirling nebula or vortex at the right edge. An ornate gold-and-purple art-nouveau border frames the whole glass, with corner scrolls and two wing-like flourishes at the top. Four rectangular red translucent windows are present: two large ones under the title left and right, and two smaller ones at the right middle and lower centre. Art style is hand-painted fantasy illustration.
