Fingerprint: "Drained" single enormous word, Gothic blackletter capitals, hollow open outlines. Stark black-and-white pen-and-ink engraving, Victorian woodcut style. Two mirrored wrought-iron railings with spearhead finials and circular scroll medallions. Brick ledge in running bond across entire bottom edge, dense black scribbled band beneath. Symmetrical composition, horizontally-grain hatched texture. No colour, no figures, no hardware.
The entire piece is a stark black-and-white pen-and-ink engraving in the style of a Victorian woodcut, with no figures, no colour and no pinball hardware visible at all. Its single dominant feature is one enormous word, Drained, lettered in huge open-outline Gothic blackletter capitals that stretch almost the full width of the panel and sit over the middle. The word is flanked and partly overlapped by two mirrored wrought-iron railings with spearhead finials and scroll medallions, giving a symmetrical prison-yard or wrought-iron-gate feel. A brick ledge in running bond runs along the entire bottom edge, with a dense black scribbled band beneath it.

A monochrome engraved/woodcut-style backglass panel with no characters and no colour. The entire background is a tightly hatched horizontal-grain texture in black ink on off-white, resembling scratched or crosshatched pen-and-ink shading. Two identical wrought-iron railing sections stand at the far left and far right, mirrored so they frame the panel symmetrically: each has four vertical bars topped with sharp spearhead finials, a row of small ball-and-scroll ornament just below the finials, and a horizontal mid-rail decorated with a repeating row of circular scroll medallions. Across the whole bottom runs a brick ledge or low wall of rectangular bricks in running bond, drawn with heavy outline and diagonal hatching, capped by a narrow course of smaller bricks, and below it a dark, dense scribbled-hatched band. Straddling the centre, and overlapping both railings, is a single very large word in Gothic blackletter (Old English) capitals, drawn as bold black outlines with white hollow interiors so the letters read as open, empty strokes. No score reels, no score windows, no instructions, no logos, no copyright line and no year are visible anywhere on the panel.
