Galactic Tank Force

Illuminated playfield, a busy comic-book sci-fi collage in cold blue, teal, silver and green. A flared metal gun barrel sits dead centre with a red-collared fanged monster head beneath it and a skeletal robotic arm beside it. The middle is a symmetrical cluster: a vertical spine of round green and blue jewel lamps, a green plate reading COLLECT WHEELS TO WIN AT SCORE, and two blue concentric-ring bumper caps labelled ZULU and BUNDE, flanked by diamond-scored inserts. Two dark blue triangular spinner housings marked SPINNER stand left and right. Lower left, a dark-haired woman in a white-edged hooded spacesuit aims a ray gun upward; lower right, a blonde helmeted woman in a blue suit holds a weapon beside a pale ghostly white-haired face. A suited astronaut floats diagonally in the upper right. Two polished wireform ramps sweep up both side walls. The lower deck is a riveted grey metal panel with red zigzag lightning bolts and round speaker grilles, with a bronze medallion at the apron.

Photograph of a full pinball cabinet in dark surroundings, with a teal/turquoise painted body and matching teal side rails framing a playfield washed in red and magenta LED light under glass. The layout runs from a busy upper playfield packed with chrome wire ramps, an angled grey spaceship model, a rotating drum/disc, and raised round bumpers, down past a mid-field cluster of five large orange-ringed pop bumper caps in a vertical column to a lower playfield dominated by a black rocket on a raised pedestal. A row of round red targets labelled TANKS runs up the left lane and a matching row labelled MISSIONS runs up the right. The lower corners are painted with figures: a bulbous pink-purple one-eyed alien creature on the left and a fair-skinned woman with long auburn hair in a dark purple jacket, hands raised in alarm, beside a pink rocky mound on the right. Metallic gunmetal grey apron panels with rivet studs carry a script Galactic Empire signature-edition logo on the left, an American Pinball logo on the right, a central plate reading EDITION #003 of 200, and a row of white facsimile designer signatures with printed role captions. Two flippers with green rubber sit at the bottom either side of a red REPLAY oval lamp.

A painted sci-fi battle scene in deep blue and violet space. Centre foreground is a red-haired woman in a shiny silver-and-purple space suit with a clear bubble helmet, a blue cape streaming behind her, and her right arm raised pointing upward; a medallion of a woman decorates her chest. A second, smaller suited figure behind her fires a ray gun. Upper right, a colossal purple-tinted female face and raised hand loom over the scene. The top carries a large script-and-block title, Galactic TANK FORCE, in white-outlined purple and orange capitals, with Battle for the Moon in cursive beneath. A yellow-green starburst banner reads THRILLING PINBALL ADVENTURES / FROM BEYOND THE STARS beside a small white star badge logo. On the right a giant ice-cream cone floats above green crater ground, with grey robot soldiers, tanks, a black-and-white cow, an orange explosion and a red cow-skin patch at bottom right. Four circular portrait medallions run down the left edge. Domed flying saucers with orange-lit windows scatter across the star field.

The title 'Galactic' is huge yellow script with pink shading and a white drop shadow, angled across the upper left; beneath it 'TANK FORCE' in yellow block capitals on a red banner with the script slogan 'Battle for the Moon'. Centre: red-haired woman in a white and sky-blue spacesuit, clear bubble helmet, pleated blue skirt, silver boots and long blue cape, firing a ray pistol to the right, gold winged-disc emblem on her chest; a second smaller woman in a blue suit and helmet fires behind her. Upper right: huge pink-magenta alien woman, pointed ear, fang, raised clawed hand, purple garment. Rows of dark flying saucers project green tractor beams onto a sandy yellow desert. Left column: four round portrait medallions, horned green robots on red wheels, a viking-helmeted head. Right: a spotted cow's head, a red vehicle, an orange-yellow explosion. Bottom right slogan: 'SAVE THE DAY AND... SAVE THE ICE CREAM!'. Colours black, yellow, pink, blue.

Wide illustrated sci-fi backglass on a black starfield. Across the upper left a huge slanted logo reads 'Galactic' in lime-green script with magenta outline and purple glow, with 'TANK FORCE' in bold orange-gold capitals on a black bar beneath, and tiny white script 'Battle for the Moon' under that, followed by orange 'IN 3-' and teal 'DIMENSION'. Above the logo, two arced lines of green capitals read 'THRILLING PINBALL ADVENTURES / FROM BEYOND THE STARS'. Down the left edge run four oval portrait medallions: a red-haired woman in a blue flight helmet, a blonde woman, a goggle-wearing woman, and a white-and-red robot head. Centre-left stands a red-haired woman in a clear bubble helmet, blue cape, blue pleated skirt, silver bodysuit and tall silver boots, one arm thrust forward aiming a ray gun; behind her kneels a second helmeted woman in blue and purple firing. Upper right a giant violet-skinned alien woman with orange hair looms over flying grey saucers firing green beams. A tan moon landscape fills the lower half with red-robed aliens, a cow, an ice-cream cone, tanks, a red buggy and an exploding orange starburst. Colours: black, lime green, magenta, orange.

Wide horizontal painted backglass in an airbrushed 1980s comic style. Upper left is a large curved title logo reading Galactic in fat magenta-outlined lime/yellow script, with a small magenta-and-yellow ringed-planet dot over the final c, and TANK FORCE in slanted orange-and-yellow block capitals on a black banner beneath; above it two lines of green-and-yellow capitals read THRILLING PINBALL ADVENTURES FROM BEYOND THE STARS, and smaller white/yellow script under the title reads Battle for the Moon. At upper right, in orange-red and cyan block capitals with black shadow, is IN 3-DIMENSION. The centre foreground is a red-haired woman in a chrome bubble space helmet with orange earpieces, a blue-and-silver skintight suit with a gold breastplate, a pleated blue skirt and long trailing blue cape; she stands wide-legged, mouth open, one arm outstretched, holding a gold ray gun. Behind her a smaller brown-haired woman in a purple space suit fires a laser. The background is a deep blue-purple starfield crowded with ringed planets and disc-shaped spaceships, with orange lava-like explosions and laser bolts. Left edge: four small oval portrait medallions of women stacked vertically. Lower left has a grey/red tracked or wheeled war machine with a big black tyre; lower right a cow and a white sheep stand amid fire, with SAVE THE DAY AND SAVE THE ICE CREAM! in yellow and white letters. ©1983 AMERICAN PINBALL, INC. at bottom left.
