Distinctive

Most striking feature is a huge spread-wing owl in mottled brown, tan and cream barring, positioned dead centre with its white facial disc and dark eyes staring out, wings dropping diagonally to fill the middle of the glass. Second, the title FIRE BIRDS is set in fat orange-red block letters with heavy white and yellow inline shading, arched across the top in front of the rays. Third, the background is a pure black starfield punctured by long red-orange rays and small green dots radiating from a single bright vanishing point behind the owl. Fourth, the lower right is dominated by churning pale blue and white water with foam surf breaking on a brown-red embankment, contrasting with the tilted red, cream and yellow striped rooftops clustered under the owl. Fifth, two small green instruction panels flank the owl at mid-height.

Full description

A vertically oriented backglass behind a chrome-trimmed rectangular frame, black starfield background with red-orange sunburst rays radiating from a central vanishing point. Large arched title lettering across the upper third reads FIRE BIRDS in orange-red block capitals with white and yellow outline shading. A small yellow square maker badge sits above the left of the title. The central figure is a large brown, tan and cream barred owl with a white facial disc and dark eye, wings spread wide downward over the scene. Below and around the owl is a jumble of rooftops and steep awnings striped red, cream and yellow, tilted at angles, with dark window rectangles. The lower right quadrant is filled with pale blue and white swirling water and white foam surf curling against a brown-red rocky or tiled embankment. Two small rectangular green instruction panels sit midway down, one left of the owl and one right. Small green dot lights are spaced along the radiating rays. Visible surface wear includes a bright vertical glare streak and fine scratches.
