Iron Balls

Full-length playfield viewed from above through scratched glass, plus the whole cabinet front and coin door below. The art is a hand-painted 1970s-style space scene on a black background: two large mirrored green-skinned humanoids in pale blue-grey ribbed pressure suits and clear domed helmets stand at mid-playfield, left and right, each with both arms raised and palms up in a gesture of offering or supplication. Between them a tall yellow-gold tapered lane runs up the centre, its yellow surface edged in orange, flanked by a red V-shaped wedge. Black glossy round bumpers (pop bumpers) and black circular target studs stud the field, each surrounded by printed value rings reading 5000, 7000, 10000, 12000, 15000, 20000, 40000 and 100000. Lower playfield is orange and black chevrons with two cream-coloured flippers, and a lime-green rectangular panel reading COLLECT BONUS. Across the top, an arc of yellow, green and red chevron/arrow shapes hangs like bunting beneath a top arch; at the upper left corner a large blue-skinned woman's face with black hair and bright red lips peers onto the field. Dominant colours are black, orange, yellow and red.

A wedge-shaped backglass dominated by a huge yellow-and-red starburst radiating from a white-hot point just below centre. Across the middle sits a large chrome-outlined yellow logo in tall angular block letters reading IRON BALLS, the letters filled with a pale olive-yellow gradient and casting a grey drop shadow. Above the burst is a row of five human figures in chrome ribbed robot bodies: a central blue-skinned woman's head and shoulders, with tall swept-back black hair, heavy dark eye makeup, red lips and a small green collar, flanked by four green-skinned androids with chrome ribbed necks and torsos, arms thrown outward as if flying. Streaking comet-like shapes with pale faces trail down towards the burst, and pale blue dome-helmeted heads with dripping stalks ring the upper left and right edges. The background is black with radiating white spark dots and red speed-line hatching. The lower fifth is a red plastic score panel holding four mechanical reels with gold number tabs 1, 2, 3 and 4, a central three-window red LED readout showing 98 70 60, and small printed instruction boxes.

She is flanked by four identical-looking female figures with yellow-green (chartreuse) skin, tall sculpted dark hair, and glossy black-and-silver segmented space suits with high ribbed collars; two lie/recline at the lower left and lower right, and two rise behind, their heads tilted back.
