Fingerprint: Grinning yellow-faced jester at upper left in yellow-and-black bicorne cap with red ruff and patchwork diamond tunic, arm raised. Black field scattered with harlequin diamond lattice and dozens of white playing cards bearing pips. Title split "JOKERS" and "Joker". Female court figures in blue and white drapery at right.
The most memorable feature is the jester at upper left: a grinning yellow-faced fool in a yellow-and-black bicorne cap, red ruff and a patchwork diamond tunic, arm flung upward as if presenting the title. Behind him the whole backglass is a black field scattered with a harlequin diamond lattice and dozens of tiny white playing cards showing red and black pips. The title is unusual in being split across two typefaces: block capitals JOKERS with a cursive script Joker immediately beneath it. A cluster of female playing-court figures crowds the right edge in blue and white drapery.

A tall, portrait-format backglass painted on a deep black background, overlaid with a large harlequin lattice of red, white and black lozenges plus scattered blue and yellow diamonds. Across the centre-left is a spread of small white playing-card rectangles bearing red and black pips, arranged in loose columns. Over this sits the title in two lines: JOKERS in red serif capitals with a pale outline, and beneath it the word Joker in flowing red script. Around the edges are painted playing-court characters: at upper left a grinning jester in a yellow-and-black fool's cap with a red collar and a blue, white and yellow diamond-patterned tunic, one arm thrown up; at upper right and mid-right two young women with dark hair in pale and blue drapery, one raising an arm; at lower left a woman in a red gown leaning in from the frame edge. A yellow star motif sits in the lower-centre field. The style is flat, brightly saturated cartoon illustration with heavy black outlines on a jester and playing-card theme.
