Legends of Valhalla

Rectangular backglass in a comic-book painted Viking style, dominated by warm ochre, orange-red, black and cream. At top left a small stacked logo reads LEGENDS OF / VALHALLA in cream block capitals with a red outline and dark shadow on a rough black-cracked background. Three figures fill the upper half: a huge grimacing Norse warrior in the centre with a winged silver-and-red-crested helmet, heavy black beard, long pale drooping moustache, red sash across his chest and one arm raised to the upper right gripping a handle; a blonde woman at left in a tight orange-red laced bodice dress with a polished metal shoulder and arm guard, holding a long spear or staff upright; a second woman at right in red-orange clothing with her arm thrust upwards, partly cut by the frame. Behind them are carved rune-covered stone slabs. A large double-headed battle axe with knotwork engraving stands at lower left. The centre-lower third is occupied by a black rectangular dot-matrix display panel reading LEGENDS OF in white and VALHALLA in large white outlined hollow capitals.

Painted comic-style backglass in warm brown, cream and orange with heavy black ink linework. A huge rectangular black dot-matrix display with a heavy bevelled frame dominates the centre-lower area, bearing the stacked title LEGENDS OF VALHALLA in white block letters. Behind and above it stand three Norse figures: a huge central warrior chief in a winged silver helmet with a drooping blond moustache and a red cape, staring forward with a snarling open mouth; to his left a pale-skinned woman with long flowing white-blonde hair in a strapless orange-red corset bodice, one arm raised holding a hammer; to his right a muscular bare-chested man with a green headband raising a heavy hammer over his shoulder, wearing a fur-edged cloak and red kilt. Upper left is a small cream-and-red logo lockup, upper centre a tasselled banner. Lower left shows a white-and-grey patterned shield or cloth with a small black spider on it. Lower right carries a round maker's roundel with a red ball and the word AMERICAN.

Comic-book style backglass, heavily inked with painted colour, dominated by orange, red, black and cream. A huge black rectangular display panel sits low-centre, bordered in cream and carrying the title in two lines: 'LEGENDS OF' in small solid cream block capitals above 'VALHALLA' in very large cream letters outlined in black. Three Norse-warrior figures crowd above and around the panel. Centre: a broad-shouldered warrior with a curled yellow-blond beard, a horned helmet bearing a face/mask design, red tunic, and huge silver-white winged shoulder plates, hands gripping a sword hilt. Left: a muscular blonde woman with very long flowing white-blond hair, wearing orange-red strappy leather armour with criss-cross chest lacing, holding a double-bladed axe upright. Right: a warrior in a winged helmet and orange-red tunic with a round shield emblem, sword raised, moustached face. Behind them a burning timber village glows orange and yellow against a pale yellow sky.

Centre: a large bearded warrior facing forward in a winged silver helmet with a red and blue gemmed forehead band, grimacing with a heavy brow, white beard split into two long braids, grey armour and red robe. Right: a muscular bare-armed man in a red tunic and green kilt, green headband, raising a large double-headed battle axe over his shoulder; behind him a gaunt white-faced figure in a horned helmet. Bottom left corner shows a decorated Viking ship prow and a fanged carved beast head. Background is a warm orange-to-yellow sunset sky with a burning orange fire glow at the lower right and dark scorched trees. Dominant colours: black, orange, red, silver-grey.
