Full description

A single-level electro-mechanical playfield photographed under glass in a wooden cabinet, with a cream/ivory apron at the bottom and a pale blue playfield background. The top is crowned by an arch with a red plastic triangle insert reading GAME OVER, flanked by two arched rails each carrying 10 POINTS / 50 / WHEN LIT in green and blue. Below sits a large cream-and-red triangle stack reading 1 TO 3 PLAYERS, 50 and 100 POINTS in bold red. Four mushroom-style pop bumpers with coloured caps (yellow, green, cream, red, purple) ring a large central concentric-ring saucer that reads 1 BONUS WHEN LIT. Repeated cream teardrop labels read HITS 7 LITES WHEN LIT, HITS 7 LITES 4TH WHEN LIT and SUPER BONUS WHEN LIT. A white panel lists 300 Points, 200 Points and 100 Points above the black-and-white SPECIAL WHEN LIT / OFF BUMPERS label. The lower playfield carries red heart-shaped 10 POINTS WHEN LIT inserts beside a small illustrated panel of a man's face, a yellow script brand name, and a large wooden-look circular motif with a flipper batten and OUT HOLE ovals. Metal ball guides and a chrome wireform run down both sides; three silver lane guides and two round targets sit above the flipper. Flipper buttons and instruction cards fill the cream apron.

Full description

A painted, cartoon-style backglass inside a light wooden cabinet frame, with a dark navy-blue field behind everything and a horizontal orange-brown band running across the bottom. Across the very top sits a cream banner reading '1 PLAYERS 2' in red-outlined white block capitals, flanked on the left by a cream box with 'It's More Fun to Compete' in red-and-blue script and 'A GAME OF SKILL' in black, and on the right by a cream box reading '1 or 2 Can Play' with 'AT THE SAME TIME!' beneath. Two rows of card-suit roundels (hearts, diamonds, clubs, spades) form an arc under the banner. The centre is dominated by a huge fan of white playing cards, all hearts and diamonds, spreading from left to right. Below it the main title 'LITE-A-CARD' runs in large arched orange letters with white and black outlines, with 'Gottlieb' in white script and '2 PLAYER' in white block letters underneath. Two scantily-clad women sit symmetrically on heart-shaped pedestals at the left and right edges, and a man at the bottom centre fans out cards. Two yellow starburst panels carry mechanical score reels reading 1,505 and 1,000, labelled '1st Player' and '2nd Player'.
