Fingerprint: LUCKY SEVEN: Blonde pin-up in flowing scarlet gown plunging one arm downward from huge yellow starburst, title LUCKY SEVEN in cream letters inside pale ovals with red shadows like lit carnival marquee, fairground crowd with striped tents.

Distinctive

The most memorable element is the towering yellow starburst with a blonde woman in a scarlet gown plunging one arm downwards out of the picture. Second, the title LUCKY SEVEN spelled out in cream letters, one to a pale oval, like a lit carnival marquee. Third, the four green PLAYER score banners with circular 1st UP badges stacked down the right side. Fourth, the fairground crowd scene at lower left with striped tents and palm trees, and the string of round white lightbulbs framing the whole top.

Full description

Framed in a wide yellow-gold moulded wooden rail, the artwork is a bright mid-century fairground and carnival scene. Across the top, on a dark green-black field ringed with round white marquee lightbulbs, the words LUCKY SEVEN are set in cream-white block capitals with red shadowing, each letter inside its own pale oval medallion outlined in red. Four stacked score panels run down the right half, each a green banner with yellow trim reading PLAYER, 2nd PLAYER, 3rd PLAYER and 4th PLAYER, paired with red digit reels and a circular red-and-white badge reading 1st UP. Dominating the centre is a huge yellow starburst behind a blonde pin-up woman in a flowing scarlet-orange gown, leaning forward with one arm stretched down towards the playfield. At lower left a crowd of small onlookers in hats and bright dresses stands before striped tents, palm trees and a grandstand; at lower right a second blonde woman in a pink-red dress sits beside red paper lanterns. Colours are scarlet red, golden yellow, grass green, black and cream.
