Metallica Remastered

A densely painted electro-mechanical-style pinball playfield shot under glass with the machine powered, so magenta, cyan, green and blue LED wash over the artwork. The layout runs from a raised upper-deck assembly at the top down to two cream/white flippers at the bottom. At the top centre a tall scarecrow-like figure with a stitched pale mask face, dark eye sockets and a broad hat stands behind a big yellowed human skull mounted on a post, flanked by glass ramps and metal rails glowing green and cyan. The middle of the field is dominated by a horizontal band of four large male heads in brown and sepia tones - a uniformed man in a peaked cap, a scarred man, a man in a flat cap and a fourth profile head - above an arched band of block lettering. Below that sit two enormous pale skulls with glowing green eyes, one on each side of the lower playfield. Between them is a row of four tall black card windows showing, left to right, a scarecrow figure with outstretched arms, a dark tower or building, a white lightning bolt, and a feather or quill. Four round portrait medallions with names sit below the cards, with two more skulls in red flame either side. The lower apron is painted with a huge grey feathered wing motif. Dominant colours are crimson red, deep purple, gold/orange and black, with green and blue LED spill.

The art is horror-motif heavy: a grinning skull in a hooded robe and dark sunglasses stands upper-left of centre against a black backdrop, surrounded by grinning skull-and-crossbone imagery, a tombstone-like slab, tattered drapery and a burning orange-yellow glow behind the upper lane cluster. An arched red-and-white banded logo lettered METALLICA curves across the very top, and a second arched text band reading MASTER OF PUPPETS runs across the upper-middle beneath the top lanes. A pair of glossy red lips and a large letter Z badge sit at the very bottom centre. A small square blue-lit display panel occupies the lower right.
