Playboy 35th Anniversary

A late-1980s style pinball playfield under glass, with a painted underside visible in blue, magenta and yellow plastic. The layout is symmetrical and crammed with hardware: three round pop bumpers glowing red in the upper centre, two wireform ramps with red arched signs reading MULTIBALL SUPER JACKPOT (one at upper left, one at upper right), a full-height metal lane guide down the left edge, a tall red-and-white rocket/tower on the right, and a long red drop-target bank on the right showing painted playing cards and the words PREMIUM GALLERY. The dominant painted feature is a large pin-up brunette in a wide-brimmed hat and black bodice, seated centre-lower with one arm raised to the hat brim, straddling a stone pedestal; her name is lettered beside her as Marilyn Monroe. Left of her is a grey craggy rock pile with a serpent and small signboards, and above it a dark night sky with a full moon. Two red flippers sit at the bottom centre on a star-and-wave apron. Along the lower edge, a purple band carries the PLAYBOY wordmark with the rabbit-head logo, the DATA EAST logo and the line PINBALL CAPITAL OF THE WORLD.

Full-colour backglass with a tropical resort party scene painted in airbrushed 1980s pinball style. Across the top, on a teal-green sky band crossed by four horizontal red stripes, sits a gold 'DATA EAST' logo at far left (the DD monogram followed by DATA over EAST), a huge slab-serif gold-and-orange 'PLAYBOY' title with a black drop shadow filling the whole upper third, and at top right a gold script '35th' above 'Anniversary' in flowing cursive with three small stars. The foreground centre-right holds a blonde woman in a teal sequined bikini and open-toed teal sandals, seated on a black bar stool with crossed legs and a bracelet and ring, beside a tanned grey-haired man in a pink-collared blue patterned shirt and cream trousers, his arm around her shoulder and the pair looking straight out at the viewer. Lower left another brunette in an orange bikini and red heels sits at a round black garden table beside a vase of orange and white flowers. Behind them a stone fountain cascades down a rockery, clusters of pastel balloons (pink, blue, yellow, cream) float above a beach terrace, and a costumed party crowd fills the mid-ground: a man in a wide-brimmed hat and jacket, seated women in bikinis, swimmers, and a white horse statue. Right side shows a woman in a blue bikini beside a large grinning rabbit figure in a tuxedo-like costume. Bottom centre carries a black window with red alphanumeric LED text reading 'T RAMPS' and 'P'.
