Fingerprint: "POPEYE SAVES THE EARTH": orange-bearded man in white coat with chrome funnel firing beams, one-eyed sailor holding panels, waiter with hamburger, orange tiger cub on blue globe, skydeck platform
The most memorable feature is the shaggy orange-bearded man in a white coat standing on the deck with a chrome funnel on his head spraying yellow beams in every direction. Close behind him, the one-eyed sailor's massive forearms and the waiter holding a hamburger and a cup form the central group. The red block-capital POPEYE title with the woman stretched out along the girder beneath it fills the top third. At bottom left, the small orange tiger cub perched on a blue globe is a distinctly odd, easily remembered detail.

A wide cartoon backglass with a deep blue star-speckled sky background and a large white box-girder skydeck platform running across the lower two thirds. Across the top, the title POPEYE is lettered in huge red block capitals with a dark navy outline and cream inner shading; a small red script company name sits at top left and yellow-orange capitals SAVES THE EARTH at top right. A woman with orange hair, a purple top and orange leggings reclines along the top girder with black high-heeled shoes, one arm raised. On the left a shaggy, spiky orange-bearded man in a white lab coat stands on the deck; a chrome funnel on his head fires yellow searchlight beams and metal rods radiating outwards. At centre a muscular one-eyed sailor in a white cap, black shirt and blue trousers crouches holding a stack of white-and-red panels. On the right a waiter in white shirt, red scarf and red cap holds a hamburger in one hand and a cup in the other. A small orange tiger cub sits on a blue globe at bottom left; a fly perches on a red bottle top right; a tiny dark figure stands on the deck centre. SKYDECK is printed in blue capitals on the white band along the bottom edge.
