Full description

Modern steel playfield printed as a sterile industrial test facility in cool grey, steel-blue and cream, with a hint of hot pink/magenta lighting. The centre is a large pale blue-grey circular sealed chamber floor labelled APERTURE in spaced engraved capitals, ringed by dark hexagonal floor plates and grated catwalks. No human figures: the cast are humanoid robots - a tall slender white-and-blue segmented arm with a clawed three-fingered hand, spherical body and single glowing cyan eye on the upper right, plus flat printed robot schematics on the lower instruction cards. Two long wire ramps arc from the mid-left up to the top right, crossing over a cluster of grey industrial towers and lift shafts; a pink/magenta glowing tube runs vertically up the right side. Metal posts, pop-bumper caps, a blue spiral wire ramp and two orange-lit rubber-band slings occupy the mid-field. The lower left carries an orange-and-cream caution-striped instruction card with a big black PORTAL wordmark; a matching cream card sits lower right, and a cream sandwich board in the centre reads STILL ALIVE and Volunteer Today! Two display panels read Computer Overloaded and 0. The cabinet front below has a glowing blue screen with TAP CARD TO PLAY, 55.0 Credits, and a yellow START button.

Full description

Photograph of a modern electro-mechanical pinball playfield seen from above and slightly in front, under a layer of playfield glass that catches reflections. The upper two-thirds of the image is filled with heavy chrome and brushed-metal hardware: a broad polished metal ramp and wireform rails curving down the left side, a lattice of metal guides, a large circular machined disc/rotor assembly with a domed hub near the centre, and dark grey and black industrial panel art printed beneath the hardware with orange and amber accents. A large rectangular white instruction or rule card sits flat in the middle-lower area, printed with a small blue rectangular logo at its top-left, a red-orange header bar, a large blue-and-silver circular emblem on its right half, and several dense lines of small black bullet-point text. Below it a perforated silver speaker grille and two black oval inserts sit above the flippers. The bottom third is a black cabinet/apron area carrying white printed instruction blocks and a large orange-and-white logo, with a backbox and speaker cabinet edge visible beneath. Dominant colours are black, silver/chrome, white and orange.

A two-section printed pinball backglass assembly. The upper rectangular panel is a comic-book sci-fi scene: a huge grey riveted spherical pod with a big round window and a glowing cyan iris/lens fills the left half, ringed by chrome pipes, brackets and a handle, with a small handwritten-looking card pinned near its base. In the centre a small white-and-grey delta-winged craft with a red canopy fires a thick red laser beam diagonally to the upper right, and a bright orange-yellow energy ring swirls around it. The floor is a grid of blue-grey metal tiles covered in faint scratched graffiti words. Top right is a large red domed hatch, bottom right a blue turbine/vent.
