Full description

A wooden-framed backglass painted as a Wild West main street in orange and coral, running across the top as a shallow frieze of false-fronted buildings with overhanging awnings and small signs: a yellow 'NEPTUNE' sign at far left, a pale 'WELLS FARGO STAGE' sign, a blue 'ARCADE', a white 'SILVER INN' sign with black block letters, a 'JAZZ' sign written as music notes, and a blue 'WESTERN' sign at right. Above the street, a rider in a black and yellow costume marked with a lightning bolt leans forward on a rearing white horse at the left, and a cowboy in a red shirt on a white horse rears at the right. Centre of the glass is dominated by a navy blue arrow-shaped shield with sharp points, over a yellow starburst: red cursive 'Gottlieb' script above enormous white slab-serif letters 'SILVER' with red inline and a yellow outer keyline. The left third is a magenta panel with a blue ribbon reading 'MILLIONS', a 'THOUSANDS' heading, and a bonus ladder of numerals 900, 800, 700, 600, 500, 400, 300, 200, 100 and 00 in red-outlined boxes beside coloured discs 7 to 1. At lower right two showgirls in pink and blue feather costumes with plumed headdresses kick and pose beside three men drinking at a red-and-white checked table. Style is flat, hand-inked comic illustration with heavy black outlines.
