Full description

A flat painted backglass in a cream/tan wooden frame, hand-painted in a mid-century sports-poster style on a pale sea-green background. A tall central column of ice-hockey players runs between six score panels: three stacked on the left, three stacked on the right. The largest figure, at lower centre, is a man in a royal-blue sweater with a white number 6, dark shorts, blue socks and a brown leather glove, leaning forward in a skating stride with a yellow wooden stick held low. Behind and above him five more skaters climb in a diagonal chain: a man in a red sweater with white stripes, one in yellow-gold, one in blue crouched low, one in orange with arms raised, and a small blue-and-white skater at the very top, all gripping long curved sticks against white ice-scuff streaks. Each corner panel is a coloured rectangle - red for players 1, 2 and 6, blue for players 3 and 4, red again for player 5 - holding a strip of black digit windows and headed by a miniature ice-hockey goalie-mask badge carrying a circled number. Vertical riveted rails separate the panels.
