Fingerprint: skill-pool, SKILL-POOL huge gold capitals, four cartoon players with cues flanking center triangle of numbered billiard balls, PAINTS yellow ribbon under title, six colored ovals numbered 1-6 MILLION across top, angled rainbow score panels 100,000 to 900,000 corners, pool table green-yellow bottom, flat 1950s cartoon

Distinctive

A giant yellow ball-and-cue motif is not present, but the most memorable element is the four cartoon pool players arranged as two women on the left and two men in suits on the right, all holding cues, flanking a central triangle of numbered billiard balls. The title SKILL-POOL appears in enormous gold capitals topped by a row of coloured numbered ovals reading 1 to 6 with a MILLION box in the middle. Every corner of the playfield-like lower strip is packed with angled rainbow score panels (100,000 up to 900,000). A small yellow ribbon reading PAINTS sits directly under the title.

Full description

A wooden-framed backglass painted in flat 1950s-style cartoon artwork. The background is a deep cobalt blue field with a pale green and yellow pool-table strip across the bottom. Across the top, six large coloured ovals carry white-outlined numerals 3 (red), 2 (blue), 1 (yellow), then a yellow rectangle reading MILLION, then 4 (purple), 5 (orange), 6 (green). Below sit angled score panels in green, pink/purple, yellow and blue reading 500,000, 600,000, 700,000, 800,000, 900,000, 400,000, 300,000, 200,000 and 100,000, each in a different colour. Centre is a small white cursive 'Gottlieb's' above the huge title SKILL-POOL in tall gold/yellow block capitals with red outline and white drop shadow. Under the title a yellow ribbon banner carries the word PAINTS in red capitals, with a triangle of numbered billiard balls above it (20, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 3, 2, 1). Four cartoon figures flank the centre: two women in swimsuits on the left holding cues, two men in suits on the right holding cues. Pool balls and crossed cues lie on the green table at the bottom. Small white 'A PRODUCT OF' text with a red cursive signature sits at bottom right.
