Slap Stick

A 1970s electro-mechanical pinball playfield shot from above through the glass, its whole surface painted a glossy golden-yellow to amber with green side aprons and black-and-white lower apron panels. The upper third is an arched ball-entry area with six white roll-over lanes numbered 1 to 6 across the top, a fan of three red rectangular stand-up/drop targets below them, and clusters of round red and blue pop bumper caps on either side. Down each side runs a tall wire-form ramp-and-return-lane assembly painted white, red and pink with curved chrome ball guides and small printed star flashes. Two large pale-blue-and-white starburst discs each read '100' in dark blue. A central vertical lane of white circles is flanked by red arrow-shaped panels printed with '2000 and 30,000', '4000 and 40,000' and '8000 and 80,000', with the score figures '1000', '2000', '3000', '4000', '5000', '6000', '7000', '8000', '9000' and '10,000' running up the middle. A red oval low centre says 'DOUBLE BONUS WHEN LIT' above a blue rectangle 'SHOOT AGAIN' with a round hole, and a red-and-white star 'COLLECT BONUS' sits between the flippers. The lower apron is black with yellow diagonal stripes, a red script 'Bally' signature, a leaping footballer figure, and white instruction cards. Condition is good, with reflections and light bloom on the lacquer.
