Special Force

A modern solid-state playfield on a Vietnam-war special-forces theme, shot in a dark arcade with the glass down and coloured LED lighting. The top third is dominated by a large airbrushed jungle mural: a grim-faced soldier in an olive drab steel helmet and camouflage, rifle across his chest, mouth open in a shout, framed by dense green palm fronds and scrub. Large block capital letters in red, white and blue sit across the very top, partly hidden behind a big clear plastic ramp and a wire rail that arcs from left to right. The middle of the field carries a fan-shaped bank of cream circular inserts printed with multipliers and numbers (2X, 4X, 5X, 8, 6, 16, 32), set in a pale grey-white oval. Below that, the largest lettering on the playfield reads SPECIAL FORCE in heavy red block capitals with a white and pale blue outline, over a white smoke-cloud shape. Under the logo is a honeycomb grid of round inserts reading ROCKETS, BOMBS, WEAPONS BONUS IN THOUSANDS and HOSTAGES with digits 1, 2, 4, 7S and 8. Two grim soldier portraits flank the centre, and two green-lit leaf-shaped plastics sit at the left and right edges. The lower playfield is a red, orange and black star-and-stripe field with two black flippers, two slingshots labelled GUN PLAY, and a maroon apron carrying a dark instruction card. Dominant colours are red, olive green, black and orange.
