Super Mario Bros. Mushroom World

A brightly lit wood-rail pinball playfield, photographed looking down the slope, with a red lower apron/deck and a yellow-green plastic lane frame along both sides. The upper two-thirds is a dense cartoon playfield of orange polka-dot and blue halftone panels under a scattering of mushroom shapes, fireballs and flying figures, and the lower third is a solid red panel carrying two cream instruction cards and one diagonal yellow banner reading WORLDS COMPLETED. Centre-top sits a white and orange giant toadstool mushroom with a face, flanked by two pale cloud puffs, under curved yellow lettering reading MUSHROOM WORLD; below that, a red-and-yellow ribbon reading MAGIC WHISTLE spans the mid-field. Cartoon figures are scattered everywhere: a large open-mouthed turtle-like character with a green shell and clenched fists stands at bottom centre, a stocky moustached man in a blue suit with green sleeves kneels in the left inlane area and a matching one leans in from the right, and a woman in a yellow dress is printed on the apron below. Metal ramps, wire guides, three round targets and a lit red plastic dome crowd the upper right, while a row of coloured GI bulbs runs along the top arch.

Landscape painted backglass under a bright blue sky with soft white clouds. Two-line title at top: SUPER MARIO BROS. in chunky capitals, each letter a different colour (red, blue, yellow, green, purple) with a heavy dark-blue 3D shadow, above MUSHROOM WORLD in large yellow capitals on a purple shadowed plate. Top left a white rounded-rectangle Nintendo logo, top right a Gottlieb wordmark with a red G. Centre is dominated by a moustached man in a red cap with a white M badge, red shirt, blue overalls, white gloves, grinning with one fist thrust forward and the other holding a yellow red-spotted mushroom, all framed by a jagged yellow-and-orange explosion burst. Upper right a large red-orange spiked dragon-turtle with a yellow ribbed belly, white horns, open fanged mouth and a raised claw. Around the edges, coloured numerals 1 to 8 label zones, each paired with a small shelled cartoon creature with crests, mushroom caps or snorkels, amid yellow pipes, a castle turret with a blue eye, a waterfall, palm trees, green hills, a yellow path and a spotted mushroom house.

Wide landscape backglass in a wooden frame, bright flat cartoon/comic art with heavy black outlines. Background is an aerial fantasy landscape map: blue sky with white clouds, green forests, tan winding paths and rivers, blue lakes, orange-brown craggy mountains, pale clouds along the bottom. Two-line title at top: SUPER MARIO BROS. in chunky multicoloured block letters (red, blue, yellow, green, orange) over MUSHROOM WORLD in big yellow letters, both with heavy lavender-purple 3D shadows. Cream oval logo top left; white lowercase wordmark after a red star-in-circle top right. Centre: a huge grinning moustached man in red cap, red shirt, blue dungarees and brown boots, striding with one gloved fist forward and a red-and-white spotted mushroom, against an orange starburst. Around him, eight numbered creatures each hold a grey plunger-like stick beside a coloured numeral: blue-crested orange (1), winged brown (2), spiky brown boar-like (3), small yellow (4), pink-crested yellow-bellied (5), tiny red-capped figure leaping low centre, tall blue-feathered (7), and a large orange horned fanged devil-creature in a grey studded collar (8). Gold pipes and coins on the right.
