A rock-concert-themed backglass in flat comic-cartoon style, dominated by hot magenta and orange-red swirls against a dark purple-black background. At the top a shaggy-haired male singer in a white ruffled shirt throws his head back, mouth wide open, singing into a chrome microphone on a stand; either side of him two long-haired guitarists in yellow and white shirts hold pointed electric guitars with arms flung upward. Below them a drummer in a red cap and dark sunglasses grins over two orange-and-white drum shells with pale blue rims and upright cymbals. All three musicians are set inside a large white circular badge outlined in blue, over which the title ROCK ON is lettered in heavy orange block capitals with dark purple shading. Two yellow diamond emblems, each containing a small dark lion-head crest, sit left and right of the score window. At the bottom a yellow ribbon banner reads PLAYERS next to four maroon numbered lozenges 1 2 3 4, with the small white text SAME PLAYER SHOOTS AGAIN below; bottom right reads LINE EM' UP in yellow italic capitals. A square, brightly coloured cartoon backglass in a heavy black-outlined comic style. A pale blue-white circular disc at lower centre carries the title: the word allied's in small slanted white-and-blue script above the enormous word Boogie in fat red bubble letters with a white inner highlight and yellow drop shadow. Four rectangular score windows with red seven-segment digits on black surrounds are mounted across the glass (two upper left and right, two at mid-height). Three musician figures fill the centre: at left a woman with long black hair streaked white, in a yellow top, arm flung up and mouth open singing; at centre a drummer in a magenta headscarf and glasses behind a red-and-white drum kit with a yellow stick; at right a dark-haired man in a yellow-orange shirt with a huge white-toothed grin, singing into a pale grey striped microphone angled down from above. The background is a flat magenta-pink field broken by radiating white starburst lines, yellow four-point stars, blue arcs and a blue patch at lower left. Along the left edge red diamond shapes carry the white numerals 2, 3 and 4 climbing a diagonal staircase, with the word PLAYERS in red-orange along a yellow band at the bottom. Fingerprint: "allied's TNT": large white circular roundel with TNT logo, harlequin-showman in red ruff over blue-and-orange drums, dancing woman in yellow bodice, four yellow starbursts reading "1500 POINTS"

Distinctive

The artwork is a circus-tinged ensemble piece rather than a single subject, stacking a grinning showman, a dancing woman and a looming painted head into one dense composition. Bright starburst "1500 POINTS" emblems punch through the muddy background at four separate points. A large white circular TNT roundel anchors the centre and doubles as the visual landmark for the eye. Three lit red numeral windows plus one unlit window give the panel an uneven, patchwork read, and the small red "6" floating near the showman's hat is an easily missed detail.

Setting

  • Abstract, non-representational interior: a broad red-and-purple colour field broken by jagged black-outlined shapes, a pale blue balloon or globe at top centre, and a stepped white-and-yellow ramp running across the lower left. no horizon or scenery, no readable date or year printed anywhere.

Symbols

  • Large white circular roundel with blue outline carrying the tnt logo
  • Yellow five-pointed starbursts reading 1500 points, one at each of the four corners
  • Blue balloon or globe at top centre
  • Blue-and-orange striped drum beneath the showman
  • Numbered white discs 1, 2, 3, 4 along the stepped ramp
  • Yellow stars scattered around the ball in play legend
  • Small red-and-white striped clown pole at the left edge
  • Red and blue parallel stripes on a sleeve at the right edge

Lettering

  • Mixed: a heavy, slanted, hand-lettered logotype with black inline shadows for the title; condensed italic yellow sans-serif capitals for ball in play and line em up; heavy red-and-yellow capitals for players; small white outlined capitals for game player / shots again; and tiny white mixed-case for the maker credit line at bottom right.

Full description

A photographed pinball backglass in a light wood-toned frame, its printed layer set against a bold red, purple, yellow and black background. The centre of the playfield art is a large white roundel edged in blue carrying the stacked red-and-black logo lettering "TNT" with "allied's" curved above it in black lowercase. Above and left of the roundel, a harlequin-showman figure in a red ruff, white face paint and a black-and-white patterned costume rides or leans over blue-and-orange drums; to his left a smiling woman in a yellow bodice and pink sleeves dances with one arm raised. A large painted face with a furrowed brow and orange hair looms at the top centre, beside a pale blue balloon-like sphere. Three dark rectangular digital display windows cut into the artwork show red seven-segment numerals, and a fourth blank window sits lower right above the yellow "LINE EM UP" text. Yellow starbursts reading "1500 POINTS" are scattered at the corners, and a stepped ramp graphic with red "PLAYERS" lettering and numbered white discs 1, 2, 3, 4 runs along the lower left. Condition appears good, with light scratching, some edge wear and a small stain on the lower right display glass.
