The Godfather

Full-view photo of a complete pinball cabinet with the playfield glass removed, seen from above under green LED lighting. The playfield is deep red and black with gold filigree, dominated by printed photographic portraits of tuxedoed men in formal evening dress. At the top a man in a blue fedora, black tuxedo and white gloves stands beside a huge revolver; below him at left another tuxedoed man with slicked-back dark hair holds a gun. The middle of the field carries a large cream-and-gold roulette wheel with radiating printed wedges, a fanned spread of oversized playing cards showing red and black suits, a big glowing glass dome, and a domed city skyline backdrop. Lower centre is a large portrait of a bald man in a tuxedo, flanked by two more suited figures, above a pair of black flippers with red rubber and a round red-and-white SHOOT AGAIN sign between them. The front apron carries a large gold logo reading The Godfather 50 Years, a Collector's Edition label, a left instruction card with a 50 logo badge, and a right signed plaque reading Eric Meunier. Green LED strips run down both wooden rails; gold winged ornaments decorate the apron, cabinet front and both legs.

A tall, portrait-format pinball playfield shot under very heavy red/amber LED lighting, which washes the whole board in glowing crimson. At the top a painted city skyline of dark towers runs across the header, in front of a pinkish dawn sky. The upper left holds the largest painted figure: a heavyset man in a dark pinstripe suit, white shirt and wide-brimmed hat, one arm raised, rendered in dramatic chiaroscuro. Below and right of him sit smaller painted vignettes of men in suits, one at a jukebox-like cabinet, and a cluster of faces peering out of the art. A large fan- or shell-shaped ramp opens like a scallop in the upper centre, its ribs lit orange from within. Mid-board the art is a pack of clutter: card suits, bottles, a star-shaped target, gears, a rotary-dial motif, and a small rider in a hat. The centre is dominated by a huge golden sunburst of radiating wedge shapes around a white rose emblem, and immediately below it a large painted head-and-shoulders portrait of a dark-haired man in a black suit and tie staring straight out. Two black flippers and two slingshots sit at the bottom, with a wire ramp looping down the right side. The lower apron carries a gold 'The Godfather 50 YEARS' logo with a gunman silhouette, an instruction card in a gold filigree frame at left and a 'FREE PLAY' card at right.

Wide landscape backglass in a red, gold, black and cream crime-film palette, split into an upper cinematic collage and a lower full-colour illustrated panel inside a black-and-gold art-deco border. Upper third: a huge metallic-gold beveled title whose letter i is replaced by a small black-suited head-and-shoulders silhouette, set on a gold X cross-hatch starburst, flanked by painted portraits of stern men in dark suits and ties, a man in a white fedora, a black 1940s saloon car, an olive lorry with a crane arm, a green statue of Liberty, a gold fire hydrant and a gold city skyline of domes and towers. Lower two thirds: a big multicoloured map of the New York area under yellow instruction ribbons, with stained-glass medallions of a snake, a wolf, a jellyfish, a winged creature and an octopus at left, three glowing green lock reels and bronze, silver and gold medallions at lower left, a mansion with two pale-blue INCR. VALUE windows and a wave-and-map of southern Italy at right, and a cream score band along the bottom.

A full-colour backglass on a deep red background with a gold art deco sunburst and diamond-lattice framing. Across the top, two menacing men in dark suits dominate: an older grey-haired man with a red carnation in his lapel holding a cigarette, and a younger dark-haired man in a black suit and tie leaning forward with a glass of red wine. Behind each stands a row of black silhouetted figures in hats and long coats holding tommy-guns and pistols. Below them sit two black vintage saloon cars flanking a tray of green banknotes on the left and a decanter plus tumbler of whisky on the right, with gold-trimmed submachine guns angled across the upper corners. The centre holds a hexagonal map of New York State in red, purple, green, yellow and blue, studded with gem-shaped targets and labelled MANHATTAN, QUEENS, BROOKLYN and STATEN ISLAND. A stained-glass rosette window of heraldic medallions and three green LOCK windows fills the left panel; a red bridge at night over blue water fills the right panel. The bottom strip is a burgundy score band with a red crest.
