Full description

A tall, portrait-format 1950s-style electro-mechanical playfield, dominated by a warm orange, cream and green palette with a red-and-gold twisting arrow motif. At the top a large translucent amber plastic dome/cowl arches over the upper playfield; inside it sit two mushroom-capped pop bumpers, one with a hot-pink cap ringed white and one with a purple cap, both on green bases, flanked by two yellow-and-orange cylindrical targets printed '10 POINTS' and black arrow shapes. A cream arrow banner between them reads 'Special WHEN LIT' above a black downward arrow, with a small red 'HAWAII' shield below. Two slingshot kickers labelled 'ON' and '30 POINTS' sit left and right, one with a yellow light bulb graphic, one with a red light bulb. Mid-field is a fan of seven mushroom pop bumpers with coloured caps - red, purple, red, yellow, blue, yellow, red - each printed '10 WHEN LIT' on a white top disc, arranged in a rough triangle. A round medallion reads 'S WITHIN BALL' with red arrows. Lower field is green with crossed red-and-yellow arrow trails, 'THREE ADVANCES 30 POINTS' and 'SPECIAL WHEN LIT' panels, 'HAWAII' and 'SAMOA' island labels, 'OFF' / 'YELLOW BUMPER' and 'OFF' / 'RED BUMPER' targets, an 'ADVANCE TO POINTS' disc, and 'FIJI' and 'TAHITI' nameplates. Two large white-and-red painted ship figureheads flank the lower playfield, a stylised tribal mask sits at centre-bottom between two black flippers, and the cream apron carries red blocks reading '100 POINTS', 'South West', 'South East', 'FLIPPER BUTTONS ON SIDE OF CABINET', '5 BALLS 10. Full description

Tall portrait-format painted backglass. A wide golden-yellow band across the top carries the machine name in huge red serif capitals with a dark drop shadow, with a red cursive maker signature and a circled letter logo at the far upper left. Below, a flat comic-style seascape: a square-rigged sailing ship with three big cream and yellow sails and a red-brown hull sits on choppy turquoise and deep-blue water, with a low green-brown rocky headland behind it and a flock of small black-and-white birds scattered across a pale blue sky. A thick twisted rope loops across the upper part of the picture and frames the scene, and a large dark wooden ship's wheel is mounted at upper left on the blue field. At the right is a compass rose: concentric green, yellow and cream rings around a many-pointed blue and red star, with the letters N, E, S and W set in the outer ring. A seated sailor in a white peaked cap and a blue-and-white horizontal striped jersey leans into the lower right, one arm raised holding the rope. A small white '9' is printed near him. At the bottom right, two tilted white instruction cards read TILT and ENDS GAME.
