Fingerprint: TWIST repeated three times in yellow capitals, dark-red theatrical curtains with white score reels showing numbers, eight mod-dressed figures in 1960s band scene, guitarist, trumpeter, drummer, blonde in red-polka-dot playsuit, white starbursts and drainpipe trousers, blue sky band with stars, dance-party theme

Distinctive

The identifying feature is the twin score reels: white rectangular panels hung from a dark red curtain swag reading 8 8 6 on the left and 0 0 0 on the right, each player half labelled with gold 1st PLAYER / 2nd PLAYER lettering and circled numerals. TWIST is lettered three separate times in yellow block capitals with heavy black outlines - upper left, upper right, and a very large version at bottom left over a white jagged starburst. Eight mod-dressed figures are counted: guitarist top centre with brown hair, trumpeter reclining at far left, brunette in green trousers, blonde in a red-and-white polka-dot playsuit centre, drummer with raised sticks right, seated guitarist lower right with a red guitar, plus two more heads at lower centre. The ground is an orange-tan dance floor crossed by pale blue light beams, with a skyline of dark silhouetted buildings behind. Ramp and shooter arrow decals at bottom centre read RAMP and PLAY.

Full description

Translucent hand-painted pinball backglass with a 1960s-style mod/teen-dance scene. A sky-blue upper band is decorated with white five-pointed stars, yellow starbursts, squiggle motifs and pairs of yellow wavy lines, and reads 1st PLAYER over the left half and 2nd PLAYER over the right. Dark red curtain swags run across the top, hung with white block-letter score panels showing 8, 8, 6 on the left and 0, 0, 0 on the right, with plain white rectangles between them. Eight painted young people in white shirts, white drainpipe trousers and braces fill the lower two-thirds: a guitarist standing centre-top, a trumpeter leaning back at left, a brunette in green trousers, a blonde in a red polka-dot play-suit, a drummer at right with sticks raised, a seated guitarist at lower right, and two partially hidden figures at lower centre. The word TWIST appears three times in large yellow block capitals with black outlines - left, right and huge across the bottom over a white starburst. Ramp arrows and a ball-shooter arrow sit at the bottom centre.
